Dana C. Ackley, Ph.D.

Dana is the founder and CEO of EQ Leader, Inc. He received his doctorate in Psychology from the Florida State University in 1973.  He works with Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, healthcare systems, the US Government, law enforcement, higher education, sales organizations, and individual professional practice groups.

Coming up with creative solutions to challenging problems has been a hallmark of Dr. Ackley’s work, which often requires him to bring conflicting views into a coherent, integrated, and actionable approach. He is a sought after program developer, presenter, facilitator, and coach, skilled in listening for what matters, organizing, troubleshooting, problem solving, and conflict resolution.

He has more than 39,000 client contact hours helping individual and corporate clients build the skills needed for success, including constructive influence, political savvy, negotiating, breaking down silos, and reframing issues to reveal unexpected solutions. Individual clients include CEOs, senior executives, leadership teams, community leaders, business owners, physicians, dentists, and political figures. Client industries have included banking, manufacturing, healthcare, government, law enforcement, publishing, and higher education.

Because of his training and experience as a psychologist, his clients gain significant psychological knowledge and tools that they can leverage to make their leadership ideas more actionable and effective. The questions he asks help clients articulate their ideas more effectively, and think about themselves and their situations in ways that allow them to break through old barriers that may have limited their careers for years.

Howard E. Book, MD, D.Psych., F.R.C.P.C.

An organizational consultant and psychiatrist. He is a founding member of Associates in Workplace Consultation and a member of the Family Firm Institute. For nearly two decades, he has coached CEOs and senior leaders on increasing their emotional intelligence so they can improve morale, teamwork, staff retention and productivity within their organizations. He provides annual lectures to leading executives from around the world at the INSEAD School of Management in Fontainebleau, France, and Singapore.

Dr. Book is a leading trainer of professionals worldwide in the administration and interpretation of the EQ-i. he has lectured on emotional intelligence to organizations throughout the United States and Canada. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto.

Arthur M. Freedman, MBA, Ph.D.

A consulting organizational psychologist, executive coach, and organization development and change scholar-practitioner.  He is a Master Action Learning Team Coach and Board Member with the World Institute of Action Learning.  He has consulted throughout the world to public and private sector organizations (e.g., USA, Dubai, Lithuania, Vietnam, Singapore, USSR/Russia, Sweden, Zimbabwe, and Germany).

He is an adjunct Professor in the MBA/OD Program in the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. He received the 1994 RHR International Award for Excellence in Consulting Psychology and the 2007 Harry and Miriam Levinson Award for Exceptional Contributions to Organizational Consulting Psychology. He spoken at more than 100 conferences and has over 100 publications including books, book chapters, and journal articles.

Peggy Moore, Ph.D.

Graduated from the University of Florida in 1994 with a doctorate in Counseling Psychology and a concentration in career development, diversity and organizational consultation. She spent five years teaching human behavioral science and professional orientation courses while honing her consulting and coaching skills both in the US and abroad.   For two years, Peggy was co-principal of a consulting firm coaching Fortune 50 leaders. She built customized leadership development programs and targeted team and organizational interventions. In 2000, Peggy started an independent coaching and consulting company that serves both private and public sectors as well as not-for-profit organizations. 

Peggy has been an executive coach with EQ Leader, Inc. since 2006.  She works with each leader to understand their work context and to build a shared understanding of personal strengths and weaknesses through assessment and feedback, recognizing that self-awareness is critical to leadership effectiveness. Together, they define the goals and strategies to bring impact in line with intention. She relies on active listening and thoughtful questions to promote action, learning and emotionally intelligent leadership. Her holistic approach delivers the efficiency and value desired by bright, busy individuals who face complex leadership challenges.
